Epworth Retreat & Recreation Centre is a picturesque accommodation and recreation facility managed by the Methodist Church of NZ.

Comfortable indoor accommodation for up to 170 people

Small private single bedrooms
Large open-plan bunk rooms
Facilities for an additional 50 campers with 11 powered campervan sites.

Commercial kitchen and smaller downstairs kitchen and dining area with lounge/ TV & projector for use with a large hall used for activities/conferences.

Catering available or self-catering option.

Bring your own bedding, although we do provide a mattress protector.
We do have linen for hire for a small fee.

The upper-level courtyard contains 4 separate ablution rooms.

The Clements building contains 2 toilets only.
The lower-level ablution block has two plumbed portable units. In each unit, there are 4 showers and 3 toilets.

Located on the banks of the Waikato River, you will find Epworth Retreat & Recreation Centre an deal place for groups to find some adventure. With its own boat ramp and jetty create the perfect opportunity for a spot of trout fishing, some water skiing, or exploring up and down the Waikato river.

There is plenty of room for school groups, sports training groups, youth groups, weddings, etc. Activities on site: Kayaks / Waterslide / Flying fox / Playgrounds / Giant chess set / Trampoline / Swimming pool. We have our high-risk activities contracted out to qualified instructors, POA.

No animals permitted.

Groups clean and keep the camp tidy during their stay, or we can provide cleaning for a fee and also on exit.

If self-catering, bring your own kitchen cleaning supplies etc.

No loud music between the hours of 11pm – 8am.
