The Good Life Retreat is a unique, idyllic setting with beautiful views, where you can get up close and personal with a variety of hand-reared animals. The furry and feathery family currently includes alpacas, ducks, Valais black nose sheep, miniature goats, Flemish giant rabbits, a chihuahua named Dolly, cats – Kevin and Martha (all bottle-fed babies) and chooks.
The retreat is home to a beautiful garden and orchard with views across the Waikato. There is also a duck pond, beehives, grapevines and more – all of which you will view as you wander the property and meet the animals.
The Tour is by appointment only, and usually available 7 days a week. You will be able to get up close with the animals, hand feed them and have ample time for photo opportunities. This is an outdoor tour so a raincoat may be required, and sensible outdoor footwear is recommended. You will need to be able to walk up and down a small amount of stairs.

The Good Life retreat also offers accommodation and can be booked for occasions such as small weddings and elopements, corporate functions, garden tours and more. The Retreat is located ten minutes from Cambridge, voted the most beautiful small town in 2019.
