Te Miro Luxury Getaway is the perfect country retreat located in the central North Island of New Zealand – surrounded by native bush and countryside – in beautiful Te Miro just 12 minutes from Cambridge.
The suite has huge floor-to-ceiling windows, offering uninterrupted views across the Waikato basin, with spectacular sunsets and changing landscapes being a highlight. Bird lovers won’t be disappointed either – with Tui, Kingfishers, Wood Pigeons, and many other birds’ resident in our native bush. Wake to the sound of Tui welcoming the new day or farewelling the sun in the evenings, and at night-time the Moreporks (native owl) will serenade you as you relax and unwind after a busy day.
The suite has its own private access – entirely separate and purpose-built for guests at one end of a newly built architecturally designed home. The suite has two beautifully appointed bedrooms. The Bush View Room has 2 singles, or it can be configured to a King and the Mountain View Room has 1 Queen. The Bush View room has its own sliding doors (and external private access) opening onto a deck overlooking the native bush. The Mountain View room has breath-taking views of the Waikato basin and mountains.
The suite has a modern bathroom – with bifold doors opening to the native bush – a shower and a large standalone bath overlooking the garden. There is an array of Sanctuary Spa body and pamper products for you to use during your stay.
Guests can also enjoy sitting outside on the deck on bistro seating overlooking the native bush. There is a swimming pool on the property where guests are welcome to have a dip, relax by the poolside, and take in the views of the Waikato countryside.
If you are getting married in the Waikato the guest apartment serves as the perfect bridal suite before and after your wedding.
The hugely popular Te Miro Mountain bike park, Cambridge Velodrome, St Peters School, Hobbiton, Lake Karapiro and Mystery Creek are all on your doorstep and just a short drive away. The Te Miro Woolshed wedding venue is just minutes up the road. Beauty Among Nature Day Spa, Le Papillon Skin & Day Spa and Zen Medi Spa & Wellness are all just a few minutes drive away
Other attractions and tourist hotspots such as the Otorohanga Kiwi House, Waitomo Caves, Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari, Rotorua, Raglan, and Tauranga are all within easy driving distance, enabling you to use Te Miro as the perfect base for exploring the Waikato.
If you’d prefer to just kick back and relax, feel free to wander and explore the surrounding paddocks and native bush with the abundance of birdlife or take a dip in the pool.
The suite sleeps four people but can accommodate up to five with the use of the sleeper couch. Daily Continental breakfast is provided with freshly baked croissants.
Rates vary between $275 & $350 per night (for the entire 2-bedroom suite) depending on season, holidays etc. The rate is for 2 people, with $50 extra per person per night up to a maximum of 5 people (1 on sofa bed). We currently advertise a maximum of 4 people but can accommodate 5 people on request.
