Takapoto Estate is not only a place where you can enjoy world-class hospitality and equestrian events. The 199ha property is thriving as a young forest that provides a habitat for many native flora and fauna species, with over 800,000 native plantings such as Ratas, Tawa, Nikau, and Rewarewa. The diverse plantings have been expertly selected and planted according to the ideal climate. The Kauri also has a special seat at the Estate, with over 5,000 trees soon towering over the other species in the forest.

At Takapoto Estate you can experience a guided tour of the expansive property and its associated eco-initiatives. Established to restore the land and protect the environment, this tour provides an opportunity to learn about the impressive work in developing a thriving eco culture. From pest control techniques to conservation efforts, knowledgeable staff will guide you through every step of their journey. Detailed information about Takapoto’s gardening techniques and organic practices are discussed during the tour, including tips for sustainable gardening and pest control.
