Sanctuary Explorer Pass School Holiday special, Sanctuary Mountain, 99 Tari Rd, Pukeatua, 9am-4pm. Enjoy a self-guided walk with the Sanctuary Explorer Pass and bring the kids for free (1-2 adults with up to 3 children with free entry). $23-26 per adult. Ask for Bush Bingo, Te Tui a Tane Treasure Hunt, Rata Ramble activity sheets to explore the tracks and their inhabitants while having lots of fun. Story time at the library – is coming to the ngahere to celebrate Earth Day, 22 April, 10.30am. Enjoy nature themed stories told by local librarians. Tautari wetland tours – Meet two taonga species. See tuatara before they hide away for the winter and watch while the takahe are fed (Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, 10.15am). Or join the special Tautari Wetlands at Dusk tour over the school holidays (Saturdays, 5.00-5.30-7pm). Experience the wetlands at dusk, greet the takahe and then search for tuatara by torchlight. $200 for a family. Kaihopara Kids – take up this great value offer to visit the maunga again (and again).
