Urban Miners is a not for profit enterprise that recycles, or diverts for reuse, domestic and business e-waste in the Waipa District.
Urban Miners is supported by Cambridge Rotary, the Waipa Waste Minimisation Fund and the Cambridge Community Board.
Rotary Urban Miners Waipa E-Waste Recyclers, Cambridge High School carpark, 25 Swayne Rd, 9am-11am. If it has a plug, a battery, or a solar panel, it is electronic and at the end of its useful life it becomes electronic waste (e-waste). One year objective is to reduce the volume of e-waste going to landfill in Cambridge by 30 tonnes. Support the cause! There is a small cost to dispose to cover costs. Ph Brian Palmer on 027 273 2335.
Items we accept: Small household appliances, televisions, computers, tablets, laptops, printers, monitors, printers, microwaves, audio equipment, video players, DVD players, cell phones, digital cameras, power tools, batteries including car batteries, wiring.
Items we currently do not accept: Whiteware – fridges, freezers, stoves, dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, smoke alarms
