Book your child/teen into this horse riding and pony care experience. Riding lessons, grooming, farm rides, games and competitions!  Ponies, helmets and all gear is provided. Suitable for all ages and levels.

Coached by an Equestrian Sport NZ Coach and affiliated with NZ Pony Club, your child/teen will learn correct skills from the start. Each day is planned with adventure and FUN learning activities to develop equestrian confidence and skills.
Tuesday 27th, Wednesday 28th, Thursday 29th April
9am – 12.30pm
$100/morning or $275/3 mornings

Ideal for your children over 5 y/o who:
• know little or nothing about horses or ponies but want to start
• have completed PONY TALES 5 week LEARN TO RIDE program
• are a nervous rider and want to gain confidence
• can ride, but have yet to canter.

This is a fun and educational program that will fast track your child’s riding skills as well as them having lots of fun and making new friends. Activities include; take care of a pony, learning correct riding skills, games, learning about jumping courses, all with fun and friendship in a safe environment. Complete beginners are mentored by our Pony Club Riders.

$100 for 3.5 hours, with lessons starting at $65.00/hour, this is a great alternative and is a cost effective way to introduce children to the fun of horse riding and the importance of pony care.
This price includes:
• A lesson on position and control
• A game based group riding lesson plus
• Catching, brushing and learning to saddle their pony.
Term prices these lessons would = $230.00

9am – 4.30pm $150
1pm – 4pm $80

Hang out and love your favourite Pony Tales pony or bring your own pony. Perfect your horse management & fast track preparation for pony club certificates while helping new riders. In the afternoon lessons are tailored to suit each riders level and ambitions and prepare for our Show Hunter Ribbon day on Friday 30th April.

$150 per day. A great alternative to weekly lessons, immerse your child in pony heaven. With term coaching $65/session this is a cost effective way to let your child explore riding and caring for their ’own’ pony.

Friday 30th April
9am – 1pm $80
This ribbon day is for everyone, starting at poles on the ground and increasing in height to accommodate all. 9am til we are finished. $80.00/pp includes 4 classes and a practice round.
This “show” will be an in-house event and will mimic a “real show hunter show. The Ribbon Day is to be held at the end of the School Holiday program.  The holiday program will focus on preparing your children for this competition.

• The school horses are well mannered, quiet and safe school masters.
• Helmets and boots to get you started are supplied.
• Lessons instructed by qualified Equestrian Sports NZ coach specialised in coaching beginners and riders learning to jump.

• The all-weather arena is sheltered from the hot sun, rain and wind making training outdoors comfortable and fun.
• Fully fenced the arena allows the riders freedom to develop skills safely.

• The red barn has a sizable undercover viewing area so the family fans can watch.
• Parents or caregivers wishing to participate can. Make these holidays an opportunity to rekindle and connect while mastering horse handling skills. This is an excellent way to gain knowledge and learn together prior to purchasing the first pony.
