Waipā District Libraries is hosting a PechaKucha-style event featuring children as the speakers.
A PechaKucha-style presentation is a format that uses slides or images that are displayed for usually 20 seconds each. The slides move automatically as the presenter is speaking. This format ensures that the speaker is concise, keeps the presentation moving, and gets through all of their content.
We are bringing the 10×20 format to Cambridge for our tamariki to get involved. This means that speakers will talk to 10 slides for 20 seconds each slide.
Our speakers are all aged between 8 and 15 years. This is a fantastic opportunity for them as young people. We are still looking for speakers, so please contact the library if you wish to take part.
The age restriction applies to speakers only. Anyone is welcome to come to the event in the audience.
