The largest Masters regatta is the New Zealand Masters Rowing Championships, held at either Lake Karapiro or Lake Ruataniwha in mid-September.
The 2020 New Zealand Masters Rowing Championships will be held at Lake Karapiro 19 – 20 September, provided it can remain within any future government guidelines.
Masters rowers enjoy the competition, camaraderie and pure enjoyment of the sport of rowing itself. There is no age too high to learn to row, with many New Zealanders finding rowing later in life. There are a number of Masters events held each year during the summer season.
The event’s full programme is available on rowit.nz and entries open 19 August.
