Bridge to Bridge Water Ski Classic – Cambridge to Taupiri Long Race (and back to Hamilton), Waikato River, race starts 1pm. Saturday time trial from Hamilton for seeding, Sunday the 82km flat out sprint race against the clock.
The boats travel at speeds of 100MPH (160KPH). The racing takes place in many forms over the weekend (mostly from Hamilton). Held on the Waikato River it is the premier event of the year for water ski racers in New Zealand.
