Our APL opening night criterium is designed to kick off the Ride Cycling Festival in style!
It will take place on Thursday the 11th of February, racing starts at 5pm with the Under 15’s. It will be held at the impressive APL manufacturing factory in Hautapu.
5pm start for the U15 criterium followed by D/E, C, B and A grades (male and females are welcome to enter any grade) with a 20 minute hiatus in racing that is filled by the Q&A interview session with George Bennett and Georgia Williams and the evening concluded with the BNZ Business House Relay and prizegiving.
$15: Individual entries (A-D/E grades & U15 criterium)
$50: BNZ Business House Relay (teams of 4)

No CyclingNZ race license needed to compete in any event.
There will be 1st female and 1st male prizes awarded for all individual races as well as a mid-race prime sprint for spot prizes.
Prizegiving will be held at the conclusion of all racing.
Foods & Drinks:
There will be a range of food and drink vendors available for you to purchase before or after racing. These will be onsite from around 5pm onwards until the conclusion of racing.
APL: 137 Swayne Road, Cambridge. There is plenty of on-site parking and a spectator friendly course.
BNZ Business House Relay gives local businesses the chance to race for champion status!
Assemble a team of 4 riders who are all employed by the same business to be eligible to compete in the BNZ Business House Relay (must include 1 female). In a relay style race each rider will race one lap of the course, approximately 1km long and hand over to the next team member until all 4 laps have been completed and the first business across the line wins. Prize for the best dressed team! Winners of the BNZ Business House Relay will be crowned champions and take home the coveted trophy.
Entry fee is $50 for a team of 4.
All 4 team members must be associated with the business they are representing.
A team must include at least one female member.
