The hour-long performances, hosted by a ringmaster, include showings of prize thoroughbreds and standardbreds, show jumping demonstrations and even the chance for visitors to ride an animal themselves.
Breeds of horses on display include the Kaimaniwa (the New Zealand wild horse), appaloosa, miniature ponies and Clydesdales.
Stars of the show include former champion racehorse Rough Habit, twice winner of the New Zealand Horse of the Year with $5.2 million in earnings, and standardbred Christopher Vance who won $2.5 million for his owners.
