Planted in 1905 by Neville souter in Souter House Garden, Victoria Street. This is a rare tree and considered the largest specimen in the North Island. 2. At the site of the old Railway Station in the Railway Reserve entrance is a Ginkgo Biloba. 3. On the bank of the Re Ko Utu Lake is the Camellia Grove planted in 1962. 4. Te Ko Utu Lake entrance off Albert Street was planted with Eucalyptus in 1885 and Kauri in 1958. 5. Missionaries gave several Japanese Maple (Acer Palmetum) about 1877 but only one remains beside the tennis court. Seedlings from this tree have been planted throughout the town. 6. Fan Palm (Trachycarpus Fortune) near the band rotunda at Te Ko Utut Domain was planted in the early 1900's 7. Atlas Cedar (Cedrus Atlantic) at the Memorial Gates entrance. A landmark tree, which can be seen as you drive along Hamilton Road towards Victoria Street on SH1. 8. In the grounds of the motel at 63 Hamilton Road is an old Gingko Biloba which is a stunning gold colour in autumn. 9. Italian Cypress (Cypress Sempervirens) west of the St Andrews Hall building was grown from seeds brought from teh Gardenrs of Gesthsemane by cynthia and Basil Hewett in 1956. 10. Camellia "Pillida" planted soon after the founding of Cambridge in 1864 and featured in Colonel Tom Durrants 'Book of Camellias'. In the St Andrews Church grounds by the church. 11. Bunya Bunya (Araucaria Bidwilli) in Valmai House gardens at 197 Victoria Street. This rare tree is a Cambridge landmark. 12. California Redwood (Sequoia sempervirens). Largest of its species in Cambridge, Victoria Square was planted with 120 trees in 1886. 13.Kowhai(Sophora Tetraptera). This is a tall tree for its species and is an excellent example that is used as a seed source by a local nursery. 63 Princes Street. 14.Totara. One of the best Totara in Cambridge on the corner of Wordsworth and Scott Streets, Leamington Domain. 15. Sweet Chestnut (Castanea Sativa) One of the best Sweet chestnuts in Cambridge. Wordsworth Street in front of the band rotunda in the Leamington Domain. 16. Tulip Tree (Liriodendron Tulipifera). This is approximately 6 kilometres from central Cambridge at 451 Peake Road) One of the oldest exotic trees in the Cambridge area. the house on the property was built in 1855 and at one point there were several Tulip Trees on the land. It has the largest recorded trunck diametre of its species in New Zealand.
