Cambridge has more than a dozen churches and groups where people can meet others of similar faith. Some provide community services and many cater specifically for children.

They include:

85 Hamilton Rd. This is the parish church for one of the largest parishes in the Waikato Diocese and its vicar publishes a blog and records sermons as podcasts.

Baha'i
Members of the baha'i faith meet locally and through a group at Waikato University.

Baptist Church
58 Queen St. As well as Sunday services for adults, the church runs a creche, Sunday school and programmes for intermediate and high school students.

Bridges
28 Duke St. In addition to Sunday services, the Bridges church runs children's programmes and provides creche facilities. This church was formerly an Assembly of God church until it de-affiliated in 2001, adopting the Bridges name. After six years as an independent church, it became part of the LinkNZ network of churches in 2008.

Capernwray Bible School
Monavale Homestead, Cambridge Rd. This is one of three New Zealand centres for this school, and the national office, which provides 20-week, 40-week and other courses of bible study.

Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormon)
30 Grey St. As well as having this locally-located church, the national headquarters for New Zealand's mormons are in Hamilton where there is a temple at 509 Tuhikaramea Road, Temple View.

Elim Church
8 Wordsworth St. The church holds Sunday services and provides school holiday programmes, after school care and a counselling service (in conjunction with the MILE Community Trust).

Jehovah's Witness
Kingdom Hall, 110 Arnold St. This is one of about 100 Kingdom Halls for the 18,000-plus Jehovah's Witnesses throughout New Zealand.

Raleigh Street Christian Centre
24 Raleigh St. The centre runs a Sunday school and evening rallies for boys (Tuesday) and girls (Thursday), as well as hosting a weekly group for mothers of young children.

Salvation Army
27 Williamson St. The Salvation Army has an active Cambridge Corps and provides welfare services, plus runs two family stores.

Seventh Day Adventist
Cnr Shakespeare & Browning Streets. Catering also for worshippers from nearby towns such as Morrinsville and Matamata, this church provides bible study groups and classes for children.

St Peter's Church (Catholic)
21 Anzac St. Established in 1878, St Peter's also incorporates a school for years 1-13.

Trinity St Paul's Union Parish (Methodist)
43 Queen St. The parish holds Sunday services and celebrates Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month. The church also hosts fitness classes, a stroke club and a craft club.
