Find Accommodation Thats Right for You

Our town has been the venue for major regional, national and international events so we're used to providing accommodation for one or two to many hundreds of guests at a time.

The town's central location means many visitors choose to stay in or near Cambridge for events such as National Fieldays, major rowing regattas at Lake Karapiro and other big sports events.

It's also a great base for those who want to take day trips to tourism centres such as Rotorua and Taupo, the Waitomo Caves, Hobbiton or to the east or west coast beaches — all of which are little more than an hour away, or less.

For a town of more than 16,800 residents, Cambridge offers a large range of accommodation, including eight motels all close to shops and restaurants, about 75 bed and breakfast hosts, including town and country and self-contained accommodaiton, a backpacker lodge and several luxury venues for those who want something special. Large groups can be accommodated at four camping grounds or at St Peter's College, or can arrange for informal hositng through local sports clubs and community halls that make facilities available for major events. Prices range from under $20 a night at campsites up to $800 a person for luxury accommodation — it's all up to what the visitor wants, and when. The peak season is generally considered to be November
